The following activities / businesses are regulated:

  • Recognition, prospecting and research;
  • Exploitation of mineral resources;
  • Mining ticket (artisanal mining activity);
  • Petroleum operations.

The transport of livestock is regulated. Operators must obtain the following licenses:

  • Traffic license;
  • Health certificate;
  • Licença de importação;
  • Export License.
  • The issuing authority is the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety (National Veterinary Directorate).

Public Works License
This regulation is applicable to contractors / consultants whose more than half of the capital is held by Mozambicans;

Foreign contractors (or branches of foreign consultants) based / operating in Mozambique for at least a decade;

License for Private Works
This regulation is applicable to contractors / consultants whose more than half of the capital is held by non-Mozambicans.

The issuing authority is the Licensing Commission of Contractors and Consultants of the Industry Building (Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources).

The regulations are as follows.:

  • License for Electrical Installations;
  • License for electrical companies.

The following activities / businesses are regulated:

  • Camping;
  • Restaurants and beverage activities;
  • Residential tourism (hotels);
  • Travel agencies;
  • Tour operators (guides).
